I first saw these as individual patterns in Punch Needle and Primitive Stitcher Magazine last year and loved them each so much. I was thrilled when Cecilia Turner of Heart In Hand released them as a set because they also look wonderful together, too! Each image uses Classic Colorworks beautiful dyeing to its potential. So pretty!

All four stitched together as on the cover of the design have a stitch count of 103 x 103.

This piece would look beautiful and work well on both linen and Aida. While I love the floss on the tan colored background of the design model, I also think the design would pop on LFA Linens Nor’Easter, so I’ve made a few kits with this option in 16 count Aida, of which I made the Aida size enough for a 2-3 inch margin on all sides. Nor’easter is a beautifully modeled warm grey that looks very lightish blue in certain lighting. Personally, I think it will look like a beautiful crisp winter day behind the cardinal, and clear water behind the fish!
